Hi, I'm Kristy Gordon
I’m a Canadian-born artist based in New York City, where I create figurative paintings exploring myth, symbolism, and contemporary experience.
My work has been exhibited internationally, including at the European Museum of Modern Art in Barcelona and the National Academy Museum in New York. It has appeared in Hyperallergic, Vogue, and Fine Art Connoisseur, and is held in more than 600 private and public collections worldwide.
I earned my BFA from OCAD University and my MFA from the New York Academy of Art, where I now teach as an adjunct professor.

Learn how to talk and write about your work with confidence. Together, we’ll refine your artist statement, biography, and CV so they clearly communicate who you are as an artist.
2. Finding the Right Galleries
Discover how to research the galleries that are out there, recognize which ones are a genuine fit for your work, and focus your energy on the most promising opportunities.
3. Preparing Your Artist Packet
Create or refine the professional materials you’ll need, including your website, social media, artwork catalogue, price list, press release, and gallery cover letter.
4. Submitting Your Art
Learn how to build connections with galleries, what to say (and what not to say) at exhibitions, and how to submit your work in a polished, professional way.
5. Working with Galleries
Learn how to work with a gallery, from exclusivity to contracts and consignment agreements, as well as the process of planning an exhibition!
Throughout LEAP, you’ll prepare the materials you need to approach galleries—from your artist statement and portfolio to your gallery letters and submissions.
Weekly recorded lessons guide you through the process, and weekly live group Zoom calls give you the opportunity to share your prepared work, receive personalized feedback, and ask questions. You’ll leave with a focused list of target galleries, polished presentation materials, and a clear approach to submissions and follow-up.
